2015 中国北京

Within the Beijing Galaxy SOHO building, we have created a new, vibrant office space aimed at inspiring creativity for this IT company. With over 80% of employees being only children born in the 1990s, the new office for Moman Camera strives to provide a youthful, flexible work environment that encourages exploration of individuality by young employees. We utilized the Japanese concept of "ma" to plan the entire office. The overall space intersperses different "ma" intermittently to create a rich and progressive experience. At Moman Camera, dynamic discussion areas such as meeting rooms, discussion rooms, and relaxed coffee corners are scattered throughout the office. As you move from one end to the other, you can feel a distinct personality permeating the atmosphere.
The basic color scheme inside the office consists of white, matte silver, and black. Key features of the office include sliding back-painted glass walls, blackboards, and silver-painted panels. Employees are provided with large writable wall surfaces for brainstorming. Particularly on the south side, there is a continuous wall made up of sliding back-painted glass doors that span the entire office. These sliding doors provide storage space with partitioning while also offering employees a continuous wall surface for expressing and exchanging ideas. We believe that the focus of office design should be on constantly changing ideas displayed on the walls, reflecting the innovative and dynamic culture of the office. The content of discussions and ideas on the walls creates a democratic and lively working environment.
The office adopts an open-plan layout to promote internal communication within the company. The elongated space area exceeds 700 square meters, accommodating up to 94 workstations. The office is divided into two large open work areas, used respectively by the coding technology team and the art team. Between the two main work areas are the reception area, meeting rooms, and management offices. The meeting rooms and management offices are located in the center of the space, near the reception area, as they are semi-private. This spatial arrangement ensures that visitors do not need to enter the work areas, thus preserving the confidentiality of work conducted within the office area.
At the reception area, solid walls are used to enhance the privacy of the offices. Despite being away from daylight windows, brightness is maintained in the reception area by using high-gloss plaster white walls and ceilings. Embedded LED light strips in the plaster span across the reception area, enhancing the lively atmosphere of the space.
The transparency of the office space also enhances interaction among employees. The full-height glass curtain wall that runs around the Galaxy SOHO building brings natural light and the vitality of Beijing's Second Ring CBD into the interior. In order to minimize the energy burden of artificial lighting, we use glass instead of solid walls between offices. Transparent and semi-transparent glass is flexibly used in the space to create varying degrees of transparency. We modified the nodes of the finished glass partition walls and installed LED strips at the bottom to create a sense of lightness. At the same time, it also creates a high-tech atmosphere parallel to the image of the magical camera. For employees seeking a moment of quiet, we also set up rest areas in a corner of the office.
The meeting rooms in the office are separated by movable walls, allowing them to be combined to form a larger meeting area. The movable partition walls are made of back-painted glass, and both sides of the walls are writable.
